Being home more is forcing me to open the refrigerator door a lot more! Balance has been the key to weight loss journey so, choosing the proper snacks, keep me on track.
5 of my favorite Quarantine Snacks!
1. Coffee + Kettle Corn
This combo is perfect for reading a book in the evening or while watching a series on Hulu. Drinking coffee in the evening, is always a soothing experience & adding popcorn gives it a leisurely vibe.
2. Avocado Toast
I looove Avocado Toast! It’s fast & I can eat it at ANY time a day and it’s always perfect! I prefer to make mine using the ingredients below!
- Himalayan Sea Salt
- Cracked Pepper
3. Granola Bars
If you are looking for a quick tasty treat then this little bar is perfect! It’s small and perfect to grab for infamous coffe re-up or to pair with an apple! I enjoy all types of granola but don’t always want the dry tartness it brings. This bar pairs the simplicity of granola with the sweetness of honey and best of all its CHEWY!

4. Pimento and Cheese Toast
Pimientos are small red peppers that are not spicy but sweet in flavor. Pair this lovely vegetable with cream cheese & shredded sharp cheddar cheese; add some seasoning a boyyy oh boy does my heart get happy!
I grew up in Savannah, GA. Eating Pimento Toast is one thing that always reminded me of home. I've been eating this at my Auntie’s house, since around age 3. It was either Pimento or sandwich spread & I HATE sandwich spread. Isn’t it funny how food triggers memories and warm feelings?!
5. PB & J Smoothie
This is by far my favorit-est smoothie that has ever been smoothie’d! I can make it more sweet or tart depending on my taste bud cravings. I manipulate the flavor by adding more berries or more scoops of peanut butter. It’s perfect & has less carbs than an actual Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich, according to My Fitness Pal app!
I mix the below ingredients in my blender & then I enjoy my perfect smoothie!
- 1 Banana
- 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter
- 1 cup of Silk Almond Milk
- 1 ½ cup of berries ( Strawberries, Blueberries or Blackberries)
- Granola (Optional)
